I think that is the point: for the reader to be left with these two possibilities. As I wrote in the review, “The Moth Diaries” is in the tradition of 19th century gothic stories. Many 19th century short stories end up with the reader having to chose between these two interpretations: is the narrator crazy? are these things really happening? (“The Turn of the Screw” by Henry James is the most famous). How far can you trust the narrator? Is she really reliable? Are there clues in the text that she might not be? You might reread the novel asking yourself these questions, but you still won’t have any clear cut answer…

i loved this book, read it in about 6 hours, literally didnt put it down
i dont get the ending though, is enrissa a vamp thing or is the narrator just psychotic
i finished it about 20 mins ago and cant figure it out, someone please explain
